Welcome to the Eureka County Online Marriage Application System

Congratulations on your decision to get married! Completing the process for your marriage license can be done in three easy steps:

  1. Complete this online application (make sure to fill out all fields) and click the Finish button when done.
  2. Come into the Eureka County Clerk Recorder's office in Eureka to show your proof of identity and pay for the license.
  3. After the marriage ceremony has been performed, return the Marriage Certificate to the Eureka County Clerk Recorder’s office so it can be recorded.

$85.00 license fee is non-refundable.

Requirements/Eligibility

You must meet these requirements in order to be considered eligible to apply for a marriage license. Blood tests and medical exams are not required.

  • Both parties must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a marriage license in the State of Nevada.
  • A person that is at least 17 years of age but less than 18 years of age may marry only if the person has the consent of either parent or legal guardian and has successfully petitioned the court for authorization to marry. The court order and a form signed by the parent or legal guardian, authorizing the minor person to marry must be presented at the time of application.

Applicants cannot be first cousins or nearer kin.

A license can be issued one day after the final date of a divorce. If you were previously married, you’ll need the exact date of your divorce to complete the application.

License Conditions

Licenses may be obtained in any county in Nevada, and can only be used in the State of Nevada.

Expiration
The marriage license may be purchased up to one year prior to marriage.


Certified Copy

Once the marriage ceremony has been performed the Marriage Certificate must be submitted to the Clerk Recorder’s Office for recording within 10 days. After recording, the original marriage certificate is returned to the requestor. A certified copy of the marriage certificate can be obtain from the Clerk Recorder’s office for a $15.00 fee.

Legal Copies
The certified document is considered the legal copy and can be used by the applicants to change their names.
